Matt is a true post player who uses his size and strength to score in the paint.
He rebounds at a high rate.
Excellent shot blocker.
Has good touch around the rim and a reliable mid-range shot
Does the intangibles on defense that don’t show up on the stat line, such as forcing misses and deterring the opposing teams from driving to the paint.
Skilled at setting/rolling and finishing off pick and rolls, and scoring on his man with his back to the basket.
Very aware of double teams and finding the open man.
Fast for his size in bursts and in transition.
